The Son and The Father

What does it Mean?

Jesus Christ relation with his God, and what Jesus taught his disciples about this relation and God.

Part 1

ST. MATTHEW, 11 VERSE 25
“At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.”

In the above verse, Jesus thanked The Father, calling Him the Lord of heaven and earth.

ST. JOHN 17, VERSE 3
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

Jesus was praying to the Father. Jesus was sent to show the way to eternal life, which is to believe that the Father is the only true God, and Jesus Christ is whom the only true God has sent.

ST. MATTHEW 5, VERSES 45 & 48
“45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”

“48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”

Jesus taught his disciples that the Father is their Father as He is Jesus’ Father. The Father is in heaven and He is the only one who is in full control, and the one who let the sun comes out and the rain fall down. The Father of the disciples is complete, He is perfect and not in need of anyone or anything else.

ST. MATTHEW 6, VERSES 4 – 8
“4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. 5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.”

Jesus taught his disciples about their Father, the only true God, the Lord of heaven and earth, who sent Jesus Christ. Their Father is the one that sees us in confidence. He is the one who must be prayed to, and He is the one who rewards the people for their deeds.

ST. MATTHEW 6, VERSE 14
“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:”

Jesus taught his disciples, their Father is the one who judges and forgives.

ST. MATTHEW 7, VERSE 11
“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?”

Jesus taught his disciples, their Father, the only true God who is in heaven is the one from whom they should asked for the good gifts and He is the one who will award those gifts.

ST. MATTHEW 23, VERSES 9 & 10
“9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.”

Again Jesus Christ taught the disciples, they have only one Father, who is up in heaven, and they have only one teacher, who is on earth, who is Christ.

ST. JOHN 8, VERSES 40 – 44
“40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

Jesus talking to the Jews; told them he is a man whom God has sent, he does not say anything of himself but only what he heard of God. Jesus called the Jews the children of the devil, as they do not have the truth in them. They do not believe that Jesus is the Christ sent by God, and ‘they do the lusts of their father the devil’. When the Jews answered Jesus saying they are the children of God, he rebuked them saying that if they were the children of God; they would have loved Jesus, because he was sent by God, and did not come by himself, but God sent him.

Jesus called the disciples the children of God, and called God their Father, the disciples believed in Jesus and abided the commandments of God; they did not follow the devil and they did not lie. Jesus called the Jews the children of the devil. He refused to accept them calling themselves the children of God; Jesus did not accept for God to be their Father, the Jews did not believe in Jesus, and did not abide the commandments of God, but they did as the devil told them to do and to lie.

The true believers of God and of the ones whom God sends were called the children of the Father; the only true God, the Lord of heaven and earth, the complete perfect one who sent Jesus Christ. And the unbelievers of God and of the ones whom God did send were called the children of the devil. But neither the believers nor the disbelievers are really that. They were called that as an expression, just as Jesus called the devil the ‘father of lies’ and as John called the Jews the children of vipers.

Part 2

The ‘son of God’ was a term used as an expression, used toward truthful prophets and messengers of God.

ST. MATTHEW 3, VERSE 7
“But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?”

John called the Jews the children of vipers, but they are not really children of vipers or they are not really vipers; they are from man, but only as an expression to describe their evil deeds toward God, and toward the ones whom He sent.

ST. MATTHEW 15, VERSE 24
“But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

Jesus Christ here called the Jews the lost sheep, they are not really sheep and Jesus did not mean to say that they were, but just as an expression referring to them as being lost as sheep.

I.JOHN 5 VERSES, 1 – 5
“1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”

Here John told that the one, who believes Jesus is the Christ, would be a son of God, and everyone who loves the son of God, loves the Father. And, this can be achieved by keeping the commandments of God, and, the love of God’s children whom He sends to us. John said, a true son of God will always beat the world. Then John told about the sign of this son of God, he said: who is that who will beat the world but the one who believes that Jesus is also a son of God.

These above verses not only clearly show us the meaning of “son of God”, but also a prophecy about another truthful prophet (son of God, born of God) which was yet to be sent to us after Jesus Christ, he would also beat the world, and his sign, he would testify that Jesus is the Christ sent from God – (son of God, born of God).

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the son of God?

Everyone that is sent from God (born of God) will overcome the world. God’s truthful messengers were called His sons; God doesn’t have one son/messenger but many. The son of God was an expression used to identify the truthful messengers of God from the false ones.

LUKE 3 VERSE 38
“Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.”

In the above verse, Adam who was the first man God created, and from him created Eve, and from them created all man, was called the son of God, yet we all agree that Adam is not really a ‘son of God’, but is God’s servant, His first man creation, and His first prophet.

EXODUS 4 VERSE 22
“And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:”

The Lord, the Father, the only true God, called Israel his son, ‘his firstborn’. Israel was a truthful messenger sent by God, he was not God’s real son, but an expression as Israel was a true messenger sent of God.

Israel was a true messenger sent by God, he was not really the ‘son of God’ and not really ‘his firstborn’, even though God called him that. The son of God who John told would be sent after Jesus and would overcome the world and believe and testify that Jesus Christ is also a son of God, is not really a ‘son of God’ either, even though John called him that, and even though John called all the ones that God sends ‘the children of God’. They are not really that, but only an expression that they are not false evils and sons of the devil. Same goes for the disciples and all who believed in Jesus, they were not really the children of God or really born of God, but human born of man, even though they were called ‘the children of God’ by Jesus Christ.

If the expression ‘son of God’ means real son of God and the term is not just being used as an expression, then God has a lot of ‘sons’ and not only one son. God would then have his first-born Israel; the eldest brother of his other son Jesus Christ, plus a third one that John said would be sent after Jesus; testifying that Jesus is a truthful son of God. Consequently, God has many real children, as John called them ‘children’ because they are numerous.

If the expression ‘son of God’ means real son of God, then God will not be the God of his son, and the son will not call his Father, his ‘God’. But would be a part of him, and this real son would be sharing in the glory, the power, the kingdom and the will of his Father forever and without end, and these things would not be only to the Father. This would be the opposite of what Jesus Christ taught.

If the expression ‘son of God’ means real son of God, the son then would be a part of the Father, and a God (or part of God) since he came from Him, and was not created by Him. The son then would be in control as the Father is, and would have his own will, uncontrolled by the Father. So the Father could not control the son as the son is a part of him and was with him from the beginning. This would be the opposite of what Jesus Christ taught.

If the expression ‘son of God’ means real son of God, the Father then could not take the will from the son, and the son could do everything by himself, he could give, take, judge, forgive and save. The Father then could not be perfect without his other part; the son, since ‘perfect’ means complete and ‘complete’ means not in need of anyone or any other parts; and to be perfect by himself. This would be the opposite of what Jesus Christ taught.

Then the son would not be showed, told, commanded and given things by the Father only with the permission and by the wish of the Father (which the Father could take away whenever he wants), but the son would be sharing all of that or part of it. This would be the opposite of what Jesus Christ taught.

Or then, if all of that is not really the case, this son of God is not a real son of God but was created as a servant of God, commanded, told, showed, controlled, given to and taking away from, owned and unable do to anything of himself. Thus the son of God could only be an expression used toward truthful prophet’s messengers of God – which is exactly what Jesus Christ taught.

What did Jesus Christ teach us about that?
